Intel's new 430TX PCIset should be your first choice for optimized media rich performance desktop and mobile PCs based on the Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology. The 430TX PCIset is the first chipset that lets you bridge the performance gap between desktop and mobile PCs, while actually enhancing power savings. This is Intel's fifth-generation PCIset, and it was designed from the ground up to maximize performance in the latest rich-content multimedia applications enabled by MMX technology.

In addition, the 430TX PCIset supports Intel's new Dynamic Power Management Architecture (DPMA) for consuming less power consumption than earlier PCIset designs. And there's more to the story than longer battery life in mobile systems. DPMA lets you design desktop systems with "always on" functionality, so the PC can serve as the heart of communications applications for business, as well as a multimedia entertainment center for home users.

The 430TX PCIset brings two important firsts to the mobile PC environment: (1) Concurrent PCI (PCI 2.1) reduces CPU latencies for smoother video and more relistic audio; (2) Universal Serial Bus (USB) technology makes Plug and Play peripheral connections a reality.

Available entirely in Ball Grid Array Packaging, the 430TX PCIset is a highly integrated two-chip solution designed for board space savings and manufacturability. This fast time-to-market solution is the latest generation of Intel's 430 family of PCIsets, offering full compatibility with existing BIOS, drivers and development tools. For all these reasons, and more, you need to take a closer look at the Intel 430TX PCIset––and make it a building block of your next mobile––and desktop––PC designs.
