SmartDie Pentium® Processor
SmartDie Pentium® processors incorporate Intel's Voltage Reduction Technology. Voltage Reduction Technology allows the processor to "talk" to industry standard 3.3V components while the inner core consumes less power to promote a longer battery life. These products deliver the highest performance for mobile computers without compromising battery life. SmartDie Pentium® processors offer the smallest form factor possible for the ultraportable notebooks. The mobile Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology is the latest SmartDie processor available. This processor combined with the 82439TX system controllers are ideal for the development of few chip CPU modules for ultraportable notebooks.

Intel 82430MX mobile PCIset
The Intel 430MX PCIset mobile PCIset effectively elevates the performance level of Pentium processor-based moible computers. The 82430MX PCIset is ideally suited for any application that requires a faster bus (from 25 and 33 MHz) for greater performance. The SmartDie mobile PCIset consists of the 82437MX system controller and the 82438MX data path. The 82371MX I/O IDE Xcelerator is not offered in die, but should be purchased as a packaged component as part of the overall 82430MX kit.

Intel 82430TX mobile PCIset
The 82439TX system controller, part of 82430TX PCIset, is the latest SmartDie chipset. The Intel 430TX PCIset bridges the gap between desktop and mobile PC performance by optimizing the capabilities of the Intel Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology. For the first time, users of mobile as well as desktop PCs can enjoy a richer video, audio, digital imaging and communications experience from the latest generation of multimedia software. The 430TX PCIset features Dynamic Power Management Architecture, System Management Bus host controller, SDRAM support and Universal Serial Bus support. Only the 82439TX system controller is available in SmartDie product. However, 82371AB PIIX4 (Southbridge) is not offered in die, but should be purchased as a packaged component as part of the overall 82430TX kit.

Multichip Module Reference Designs for Ultraportable PCs,
In order to reduce the barriers and improve time-to-market for mobile computing OEMs, Intel has developed a family of reference designs that provide MCM manufacturers and OEMs with important design considerations and implementation concepts that are well suited to ultraportable computing applications. These designs reflect recent advancements in Intel's mobile architecture and SmartDie product roadmaps as well as in MCM design and manufacturing technology. They also represent some of the most highly integrated, smallest form-factor designs available for mobile applications, and can help OEMs achieve size and weight goals in ultraportable PC development. The new 2nd generation reference designs featuring Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology and 82439TX system controller are now available in SmartDie®. Intel developed and validated MCM prototypes and performed rigorous architecture verification procedures to ensure robustness of the design. The reference design documentation includes comprehensive design information (schematics, component lists, netlists, etc.) and implementation recommendations. Also available are evaluation systems that allow potential users to assess the suitability of the designs for their application. Ordering Information
All SmartDie products are shipped in Gel Paks*. When placing die sales orders, please remember the following key issues:

  1. A Die Products Agreement must be in place between your customer and Intel prior to order entry.
  2. There will be NO RETURNS on opened Gel-paks unless the product is defective.
  3. There exists fixed order increment quantities for all SmartDie® products. The chart below defines those predetermined quantity restrictions.
