Recognition Primitives Library System Requirements

The Intel Recognition Primitives Library (RPL) runs on Intel-Architecture-based personal computers running Microsoft* Windows* platforms. The library integrates into an application or library written in C or C++. The RPL requires the following hardware and software:

  • Hardware
    • Intel486™ processor-based system (Pentium® or Pentium Pro processor-based system recommended)
    • 16 megabytes RAM (32 megabytes RAM recommended)
  • Software
    • Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT*
    • A C++ compiler: Microsoft Visual C++ version 4.0 or Borland* C++ version 5.0


Best performance can be achieved when applications using the library are run on Pentium processors with MMX™ technology.
