USB Functionality
The 8x930Ax USB Eval Board is designed to implement the functionality of the popular Universal Serial Bus using the 8xC251 core. An Adapter Board with an
8x930Ax device implements one upstream USB port.
Memory
The 8x930Ax USB Eval Board contains 64k bytes of EPROM containing a Reduced Instruction Set Monitor (RISM). It is also equipped with a 128k byte
SRAM for use as Program Memory and/or Data Memory. This is in addition to the memory internal to the 8x930Ax chip device.
Two UARTs
Both the internal UART and a 16C550 external UART are provided with RS232 Interfaces to a Host PC or other application.
Software Development Environment
Intel ApBuilder is included along with three software demo packages from Keil, PLC, and Tasking. These demo packages include compilers, assemblers, and
debuggers.
Power Supply
The 8x930Ax Eval Board is designed to operate from a single +5 volt regulated supply. FLASH programming is possible by supplying an additional +12 volts. The
board is designed to draw less than one amp from the +5 volt supply.
