Product Description
The Intel 430VX PCIset helps you design a new generation of Pentium(r) processor-based PCs for multimedia, games and personal productivity software. The 430VX PCIset integrates support for the Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard, so home users can add a wide variety of Plug and Play digital input devices, from mice, keyboards, light pens and joysticks to scanners and cameras. It also supports multiple peripherals for multi-user games.
Concurrent PCI architecture maximizes system performance with simultaneous activity on the CPU, PCI and ISA buses. It improves video and audio performance for multimedia applications and allows users to add more high-speed peripherals to systems without impacting performance of the PCI bus.
Improved EDO memory support, faster timing and support for advanced synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) enable leading-edge performance. At the same time, Shared Memory Buffer Architecture (SMBA) lets you deliver ultra-cost-sensitive PCs.
You'll see enhanced performance for hi-fi, 3-D, audio, full-motion video and the hottest new "edu-game" software. At the same time, the "business core" at the heart of the Intel 430VX PCIset lets you utilize your investment in BIOS code and development tools.
