Applications include PC cards with PC AT functionality, personal digital assistants, and handy terminals. The SmartDie Intel486 product line includes the SX, DX2, and DX4 processors. All SmartDie Intel486 processors employ Intel's energy efficient SL technology. Also, the ultra-low power (ULP) Intel486 SX and GX processors are offered as SmartDie products. The ULP Intel486 SX and GX processors are ideal for high performance hand-held and battery operated applications. These processors allow up to a 50% power reduction compared to the Intel486 SX processor. Power reduction is achieved through a split power supply. The ULP Intel486 SX processor implements the full 32-bit architecture. The ULP Intel486 GX processor has a 32-bit core and 16-bit external data bus for the greatest power reductions.
