Motherboard Connectors
There are connectors on-board for Floppy, IDE, SIMMs, battery holder and front panel I/O connectors.

    Auxiliary fan connector note: Some boards feature a six-pin connector, as shown, with pins 1, 3, 4 and 6 connected to Ground, and +12V on pins 2 and 5. Later revisions of the board include only a three-pin auxiliary fan connector, with a pinout of (1) Ground (2) +12V (3) Sense Tachometer.


Front Panel Connections (J3A1, J2A1)
The VS440FX motherboard provides header connectors to support functions typically located on the chassis bezel.

Front panel features supported include:


Back Panel Connections
The back panel provides external access to PS/2 style keyboard and mouse connectors as well as two serial ports, and one parallel port, which are integrated on the motherboard. Optional connectors (when the board includes the feature) include two USB connectors, external audio jacks and a MIDI/game port.

The diagram below shows the general location of the I/O connectors.
