The i960(R) processor assembler is part of a complete set of software and hardware tools for developing embedded applications for the i960 processors. Use ic960 or gcc960, the i960 processor assembler, and the i960 processor software utilities to translate, link, and format source text into executable or PROM-programmable code. You can write assembly source text directly in a text editor or compile a C program to produce assembly output. To create object files, you can assemble your source text or the assembly output from the C compiler. Disassembled text from the dumper is for debugging and cannot be reassembled.
