AP-642 Designing for Upgrade to Smart 3 Advanced Boot Block Flash Memory

The new Smart 3 Advanced Boot Block product offering, on Intel's state-of-the-art 0.4ľ process, is an enhancement to the current Boot Block product line. It introduces some new features that enable additional functionality and ease of design. This application note focuses on the technical differences between the current SmartVoltage (SVT) Boot Block and the Smart 3 Advanced Boot Block (B3) products and is applicable for 4-Mbit and 8-Mbit densities.
