J-Group Copy Stations (Flash Support)

The Elan J-Group Copy Station is designed for mass production copying of data from any file format directly into all types and sizes of PC Cards, including the latest and largest Intel Flash memory cards. From 8 to 16 slots are built into a single tower with a maximum of two towers providing 32 slots for simultaneous copying of data from a fast PC as a stand-alone station. The minimum 8-slot configuration may be expanded to 32 slots in the field. All types of PC Cards are supported, including flash, I/O and other memory in Types I, II and III cases. Attribute memory is selectable and programmable.
Elan's JC_COPY software provides full transparent mode copying of data without the support of any standard socket and card services. Proprietary hardware and software design allows very high speed data transfer to all card slots concurrently, also reflecting increasing PC power. In this way "Megabyte" flash cards can be fully programmed with data in seconds.
The JC_COPY software interface provides production and supervisor operating modes to allow customer files to be set up with simple selections for unskilled operators in a production environment. Programming may be semi-automated to allow copying to commence without any keystroke when the last card is correctly inserted. Simple and clear display responses give operators instructions and feedback to ensure secure production control.
