What's New in This Version

The Intel C/C++ Compiler version 2.4 is a first generation plug-in to the Microsoft Developer Studio*. It can be used to compile Visual C++ projects from within the Microsoft Developer Studio. The new features of the Intel C/C++ Compiler plug-in (version 2.4) are as follows:

	Support for 64-bit integers
	Enhancement of in-line assembly
	Support for the fastcall function calling convention
	Profile-guided optimization
	Precompiled headers: the Intel C/C++ Compiler supports precompiled header (PCH) files that use the same options as the Microsoft C/C++ compiler.
