2500AD Simulator/Debugger

With the 2500AD Simulator/Debugger you can develop, test and debug 8051 family software in assembly language or in C without 8051 hardware. It can catch errors, such as stack overflow or under-flow, that elude some traditional debuggers. The Simulator/Debugger is full color, menu driven and allows for mouse/keyboard input. After selecting a menu, the Simulator displays a sub-menu or a window for any additional input.
The Simulator checks for breakpoints after every executed instruction; it has 24 program, 16 register and 16 memory breakpoints. You can operate it interactively or through command batch files, a useful way of setting up a series of files and an operating environment tailored to your own debugging requirements.
The 2500AD Simulator is fully compatible with the 2500AD C Compiler, Macro Cross Assembler, Linker and Librarian. It works the same on most computers regardless of operating system. It supports the full instruction sets for the 8051 and 8052 microcontrollers and for their functional equivalents, the 8031, 8032, 8351, 8352, 8751 and 8752. You specify which micro-controller you want to simulate. The Simulator displays special function registers for that micro-controller.
