National Instruments
  • VXIpc* embedded VXI controllers

VXI is a leading platform for instrumentation systems. VXI systems are used worldwide in test and measurement applications, as well as data acquisition and analysis and industrial automation research. VXIpc embedded VXI controllers from National Instruments, based on the Pentium® processor and the PCI bus, offer the maximum in performance in the most compact form factor. They are powered by 100, 133 and 166 MHz Pentium processors, providing the functionality of a desktop PC in a VXI module. The PCI bus achieves a top throughput of 132 Mbytes/sec. to handle the most demanding peripherals. These embedded PC controllers are available in both single and dual-slot configurations. National Instruments also provides industrial automation boards based on the Intel386™ processor for connecting ISA bus-based computers, as well as VXIpc controllers with Intel486™ processors for low-cost instrumentation platforms.
