Lab Description
Cisco Systems, Inc., Intel Corporation and Microsoft Corporation are establishing an end-to-end network multimedia Lab facility that will be made available to program participants. The fully staffed Lab is located on the Cisco campus in San Jose, CA and includes:

- Pentium® processor-based PC workstations
- Pentium processor with MMX™ technology-based PC workstations
- Pentium Pro processor-based servers
- Pentium II processor-based PC workstations
- EtherExpress™ Pro network cards
Networking hardware and software from Cisco:
- routers (with Cisco IOS™ software)
- switches
- firewalls
Operating system and platform software from Microsoft:
- Windows* 95
- Windows NT
- NetShow
- Internet Information Server
Participants are expected to use the Lab in the following ways to ready high-quality network multimedia solutions:
During the early stages of this program over 20 leading-edge Internet techology companies have expressed a strong interest in scheduling time in the Lab. The participating companies look to provide solutions in the areas of desktop conferencing, distance learning and information broadcasting.
