EMUL 51*-PC

The EMUL51-PC is a high performance in-circuit emulator specifically designed to give an optimized environment to develop your Intel 8051 family hardware and software. The EMUL51-PC emulator is a board which plugs directly into the IBM PC/XT/AT bus. As an alternative, it can be installed in an expansion box with a 115K baud serial interface to the host computer.
The optional advanced trace board lets you record up to 256K bus cycles. For each cycle there is a 64-bit sample of address/data bus, RD/WR/OP code fetch, interrupt level, 2 ports or up to 18 extra signals, and a time stamp. The time stamp shows exactly when a frame has been recorded, making it easy to measure the time of functions and events. There is also an extra 32-bit timer for measuring events "on-the-fly".
The POD, which plugs into the target system, is connected with a 5 foot (1.5m) rib-bon cable to the emulator board, providing a flexible operating range. These POD boards are designed around IntelÆs technology for accurate emulation of all modes of operation.
The EMUL51-PC is fast: a 16K object and symbol file loads in less than 2 seconds. Dedicated to the Intel 8051 family, the EMUL51-PC will work just like the microcontroller when placed in your tar-get. We call this a "no-compromise" design.
