IntelÆs 8-bit MCS 51 microcontroller family consists of CHMOS versions of the original 8-bit microcontrollers. The MCS 51 architecture is optimized for control-oriented applications. A variety of fast addressing modes for accessing the internal RAM facilities bytes processing and numerical operations on small data structures. Extensive on-chip support is provided for 1-bit variables as a separate data type, allowing direct bit manipulation and testing in control and logic systems that require Boolean processing.
Intel offers a wide variety of MCS 51 controllers with different levels of on-chip peripherals and memory. The MCS 51 controller family includes versions with of-chip EPROM, One-Time Programmable (OTP) and ROM memory, as well as CPU-only microcontrollers. IntelÆs proven CHMOS technology provides lower power, higher integration and higher performance in this line of controllers.
MCS 51 Microcontroller û Classic:
IntelÆs 8-bit MCS 51 microcontrollers have become widely accepted in the industry for embedded control. This Classic family consists of CHMOS versions of all the original 8-bit microcontrollers included in the MCS 51 family of microcontrollers. Intel offers a wide variety of on-board memory in EPROM and ROM as well as CPU-only microcontrollers. IntelÆs proven CHMOS technology provides lower power, higher integration and higher performance.
MCS 51 Microcontroller û Low Voltage:
The 8XL5X and 8XL51FX are redesigned true 3V versions of the MCS 51 family of microcontrollers. Operating Vcc ranges from 2.7V to 3.6V and a maximum frequency of 20 MHz provide both low-voltage and high-performance benefits. Both products provide a compatible and ideal low-voltage migration path for customers who want to design low-power versions of their embedded designs.
MCS 51 Microcontroller û Expanded RAM:
The 8XC51RA/RB/RC is the random access memory expansion if IntelÆs 80C52/C54/C58 part from 256 to 512 bytes, with a hardware watchdog timer (WDT) added. This product is designed for 5V operation, and is functionally compatible with IntelÆs 8051 instruction set. It is targeted for those systems/applications with large on-chip data storage space requirements.
8XC51GB Microcontroller -- Application Specific:
The 8XC51GB is an enhanced version of the 8XC51FA. Added features make it an even more powerful microcontroller for applications that require on-chip analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion, pulse-width modulation, high-speed I/O, up/down counting capabilities and memory protection features. It also has a more versatile serial channel that facilitates multi-processor communication.
8XC51JX Microcontroller -- Application Specific:
The 8XC152JA/JB/JC/JD, which is based on the MCS 51 microcontroller core, is a highly integrated, single-chip, 8-bit microcontroller appropriate for cost-sensitive, high-speed, multi-protocol serial communications.
8XC51SL Microcontroller:
The 8XC51SL is an integrated keyboard controller designed for power-sensitive, applications. It offers fnctions such as UPI host interface, keyboard scanning, power management, temperature/battery monitoring, and external keyboard/mouse interface. Package options Include 100-lead plastic quad flatpacks (PQFPs) and 100-lead shrink quadflatpacks (SQFPs), with 5V and 3.3V operations.
8XC51KB Microcontroller:
The 8XC51KB is a highly integrated keyboard controller. It can provide a cost effective upgrade solution for desktop keyboard based on the MCS 51 controllers as well as any 8-bit controller-based keyboard. |
