This product specification describes the SmartDie(TM) Intel486(TM) DX2 processor. The Intel486 DX2 microprocessor is a second generation Intel486DX CPU with an internal core that executes at twice the speed of the external memory bus. The processor includes regular Intel486 memory management with paging, floating-point, and cache memory units along with a high performance integer unit. The Intel486 DX2 implements a complete 32-bit architecture. It is offered at 40 and 50 MHz running at 3.3 V. Performance is achieved along with low power consumption through the use of SL technology.
