PLD Equations: 486-Based EISA Eval Board

Intel is providing complete big endian byte ordering support in the i960® CA and CF microprocessors (referred to as 80960Cx). This new data support facilitates the development of applications that interface with big endian ordered data. This enhancement allows the 80960Cx to access big endian data transparently without degrading the system performance; i.e., increase packet processing efficiency in applications such as a bridge or router. This support eases the porting of code written for big endian microprocessor architectures.
