6000-APS (Flash Support)

The Elan Model 6000 Universal Device Programmer is designed to provide the greatest flexibility in expansion, in device coverage (memory, micros and logic), in the widest support with the fewest adapters and in ease of use. Its Programmable Device interface (PDi) is available with universal and dedicated sockets to suit all package types and sizes, improve programming integrity and reduce cost.
Programming speed improves by using faster PCs, but the optional Accelerator Card allows programming times to approach theoretical minimums. Thus as flash memory sizes increase and the time-to-program becomes a more important factor, the Model 6000 provides a time-efficient overall programming solution. Because there is no other interface process, there is no time delay in setting up files and transferring data, and these actions are included in the benefits of this high speed overall programming process.
Software updates are available free for the life of the system when downloaded via BBS or Email. This facility, when used with Elan's range of Universal PDI's, provides a more responsive and cost-effective solution than purchasing specific adapters every time for each different device type, required for cheaper programmers.
