The ASSET½ Diagnositc System Product Family provides a complete
framework that eases your debug, test, and programming of IEEE
1149.1-compliant circuits, boards, and systems through interactive,
Windows-based tools, programming capabilities, and automated test
development and diagnosis.
For in-system programming (ISP), ASSET provides a wide range software and hardware options to automate and speed your programming tasks. With ASSET you can easiliy translate your programming commands into application vectors through ASSET¦s macro programming language. This language takes the drudgery out of manipulating the scan chain to alter data and control lines and lets you work at the device or bus level where you can be most productive. With support of several different hardware options, ASSET can quickly apply your programming commands in the environment that suits you best.
In addition to its ISP capabilities, ASSET provides you test and debug solutions for the entire life-cycle of your product, including design, test, and field service. For design engineers, ASSET provides interactive tools including the Debugger and Scan Analyzer(TM) for direct access and control of IEEE 1149.1-compliant devices. These features allow the engineer to quickly locate faults found on a device, board, or system through interactive tools and scan vector analysis.
For test engineers, ASSET provides a robust suite of test vector
development and diagnostic tools including automatic test pattern
generation and diagnostics for scan path and boundary-scan
interconnects with fault isolation down to the pin level.
For field service and repair engineers, ASSET offers all of its
interactive and test diagnostic capabilities in a portable laptop
environment. In addition, tests can be embedded in the end product
through ASSET¦s Scan Engine(TM) product for quick fault detection
and isolation.
