Yamaichi Prototyping sockets (PSOP/PLCC/DIP)

Yamaichi offers SOP and PLCC surface mount prototype sockets as well as 32-pin DIP, side lever actuated, ZIF prototype socket to house Intel's Flash memory devices. The various sockets provide excellent tools to reduce the time it takes to design and layout new board products. Design and layout modifications can be quickly implemented without scrapping or damaging the flash memory components or boards due to de-soldering. The sockets provide reliable mechanisms for pre-production board-level testing and for programming firmware changes.
Yamaichi's sockets can be mounted on demo boards and used to demonstrate the performance, functionality and flexibility of Intel's Flash memory devices. In fact, the same socket can be used for various densities and speed grades.
Yamaichi's sockets are manufactured from high-temperature thermoplastic and include low-resistance contacts. The sockets feature low profiles, small form-factors, LIF (SMT) and ZIF (Through-Hole) designs. The SOP and PLCC surface mount socket terminals are designed to be manually soldered but, if preferred, can be automatically soldered to the board. The socket architectures allow simple insertion and extraction of Intel's Flash memory components.
