Orbit 48 is a masterpiece of compact design. Resultantly, it¦s easily carried by professional engineers on the move. Orbit 48 is equally at home in today¦s hi-tech laboratory. But with Its small footprint, Orbit 48 helps keep the workstation tidy while adding the flexibility of free movement around the laboratory.

With its tough, powder-coated metal casing, Orbit 48 minimizes both EMI and RFI effects. A splash-resistant keypad design prevents the ingress of moisture and dust. Surface-mount construction and full ATE test procedures contribute to high reliability.

Ease of use is one of the chief attributes on Orbit 48's features list. A high-contrast supertwist LCD, menu-driven operation, and a clear and uncluttered custom-designed keypad make Orbit 48 particularly straightforward to use.

Internal rechargeable batteries provide Orbit 48 with power when away from the bench. Up to 30 hours use in edit mode, with at least seven months data retention in stand-by mode.

Incorporated into Orbit 48's design is a high-speed FLASH emulator which enables code to be run in a target system without having to first commit time and resource to programming and erasing devices. Orbit 48's emulator incorporates Stag's unique `Edit While You Run' feature, which allows, where permitted, code alteration while running in the target system.

The option of high quality PC software includes high-tech, true Windows application and simple-to-use production style DOS application. Windows provides graphically-enhanced remote control from a PC (desktop or laptop).
