Stag's Quasar is an affordable, high performance universal programmer driven from your PC.
Fully software-driven from a PC/XT/AT*/PS2* or laptop, the Stag Quasar 1040 and 1084 universal programmers provide state of the art support for both current and future programmable devices.
Directly controlled from within the PC environment, Quasar gives you considerable power and access to many utilities and conveniences. Furthermore, it capitalizes on existing processing power and your familiarity with the PC. An easy-to-follow, full screen menu interface provides all required user information and allows single keystrokes for major functions.
The batch/macro facility allows frequently used commands to be executed from batch style macro files, providing ease of use for production or non-technical personnel.
Universal power supply accepts input voltages from 95V AC to 260V AC - no switches or links, and is able to withstand sudden line voltage variations.
To provide security for your Intel Flash memory components, a user selectable serialization feature is supplied for automatic generation of serial numbers, checksums and date/time data, which can then be programmed into the silicon.
All programming signals and power supplies are generated in the programmer, not from a card inside the PC. Signals are noise-free, accurate and the PC is protected from sudden power drain and disk-damaging shocks.
A solid ground is provided by relays (not by transistors), resulting in cleaner signals and therefore higher programming yields.
