Capture* for Windows*

OrCAD Capture* for Windows is a 32-bit Windows schematic editor for designing printed circuit boards, FPGAs and CPLDs. Capture runs as a true 32-bit application Windows95* and Windows NT*, also runs on Windows 3.x, and is compatible with every Windows network. With Capture for Windows, you get all the features you need to create your most complex designs quickly and easily. It includes a design manager that lets you view your design hierarchy and quickly locate components and nets. The schematic editor allows you to quickly draw schematics with a graphical part selector, step and repeat functions, and wire rubberbanding during component moves. A built-in spreadsheet makes it easy to add attributes to components.
Support for TrueType* fonts, custom title blocks, and user definable graphics allow you to generate sharp-looking documentation that can be pasted right into your favorite Windows documentation tools, or output to any Windows supported printer or plotter. You can also generate a netlist in more than 30 standard formats, including VHDL, Verilog, SPICE and EDIF as well as every common PCB layout format. Capture also lets you import component data from external databases and generate a custom bill of materials. The entire design, including all pages and parts, is stored in a single file, making it easy to archive and email your design.
Capture for Windows is part of OrCAD's Design Desktop for Windows, a complete set of tools for PCB and FPGA design, including Layout for Windows and Simulate for Windows. The tools work together seamlessly with cross probing, real time data interchange and support for rule passing to shorten your time-to-market.
