Now that PCMCIA cards have become a worldwide standard for transferring data between desktop and portable computers, many computer systems are being configured with PC card slots as standard or optional features. However, for the majority of computers still without slots, the Intermart reader/writers offer the perfect solution for gaining the many benefits of this new media. Simply connect the unit to any computer system with a SCSI interface and you can operate virtually any PC Card including flash memory, LANs and fax/modems.
The Intermart reader/writer units furnish reliable, high-speed access to PC Cards through a simple SCSI port connection. The dual slot systems are available as internal or external devices, and function like any SCSI hard disk drive. The units meet all PCMCIA standards, and support PCMCIA V2.0/ JEIDA V4.1 and 4.2, standard memory, and I/O cards. The systems support MS-DOS*, Windows*, UNIX* and Macintosh* software, and meet all regulatory agency requirements including UL and FCC.
The dual slot PCD-15 model is an external unit with a desktop case and built in AC power supply.
The dual slot PCD-15B is an internal unit with the same form factor and mounting as a standard 3.5" hard disk drive (1 inch high), and operates from 5V power.
