Tool Description:

LFS Flash Media File Mananger. Uses PCMCIA-defined LFS (Linear File Store) spec for a linked-list type method of storing "Objects". For cards or a RFA/RFD. Includes iCARDRV1 source for reference.

Tool Features:

  • Intel developed code stores files and data contiguously using linked-list

  • Well suited for eXecute-In-Place (XIP) applications

  • LFS is a PCMCIA defined card partition structure

  • Can work AS the file manager or with an existing one and has an integrated flash media manager

  • Designed for low update frequency applications

  • Flash partition based architecture: -Uses a spare block per partition and -Clean-up occurs on the entire partion

  • Small code size (*14K of code)

  • Has High Performance edit capability

  • Robust power-off recovery and media clean-up

  • Source code license is Royalty-free and gives derivative rights when used with Intel Flash
