SDDC (ISA Bus)

Adtron's PC Card drive brings performance and universal PC Card compatibility to any desktop, workstation or embedded computer with a 16-bit ISA bus card slot. Designed for the stringent requirements of the industrial user, this PC Card drive supports all Type I, II and III flash memory, other memory technology, modem, fax and network PC Cards. The dual socket PC Card drive installs in a 16-bit ISA bus in one of three combinations: 1) two sockets on the ISA adapter card; 2) two sockets in a 3.5" drive bay cabled to the ISA adapter; 3) one socket on the ISA adapter and one cabled to a 3.5" drive bay.
An optional on-board 32Kx8 flash memory may contain an extended BIOS for booting or application specific code to be mapped into the computer's memory space. When used with Intel Flash memory cards, this PC Card drive replaces a rotating disk drive with solid-state data storage for increased reliability in rugged environments.
Compatible operating systems include MS-DOS*, Windows*, Windows95*, QNX, Linux, and various flash file systems. Adtron's advanced Card Manager utility allows the formatting, erasing and programming of flash memory cards.
Adtron support includes a technical applications staff for telephone support and custom designs, software updates through the Adtron bulletin board, and email. Other Adtron products include PC Card drives which connect to the computer's serial port, printer port, IDE controller, PC/104 bus and SCSI bus.
