About Adobe Acrobat Reader

For your convenience, this CD-ROM contains Adobe Acrobat* Reader 3.0 for Windows 3.1*, Windows 95*, and Windows NT*. Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange is required to view and print the PDF (portable document format) files on this disc. PDF files can be identified by their ".pdf" extension. If you already have Acrobat Reader or Exchange 3.0 or higher installed on your system, you do not need to install this application. To install Acrobat Reader, follow the instructions below.

Minimum System Configuration

Before installing Acrobat Reader, ensure your PC meets the minimum system configuration:
Intel386(TM), Intel486(TM), or Pentium® processor-based personal computer
Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or later
8MB of RAM (16MB for Windows NT)
4MB of hard disk space
Optional: Adobe Type Manager (ATM) improves screen display and printing performance.

Additionally, if you plan on printing out PDF documents, ensure your printer meets these requirements:
5MB RAM for 300dpi
10MB RAM for 600dpi
Optional: PostScript* capability improves printing performance

Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader

  1. Be sure one of the Developers’ Insight CD-ROMs is in your system’s CD-ROM drive.
  2. Exit all applications except Program Manager
  3. Select File...Run...
  4. For Windows 3.1, type in d:\ar16e30.exe (where "d" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive)
    For Windows 95 and Windows NT, type in d:\ar32e30.exe (where "d" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive)
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
